Intruder Alarms are mainly used to protect unoccupied premises but can
used in sensitive areas to stop unauthorized access, watch over occupants
and to defend a perimeter so that internal operations can continue.
- Standard Components make up general security alarm systems including
Passive Infra Red (PIRs), Dual Technology
(PIR and Microwave), Beam Detection, Door Contacts, Break Glass Detectors
and several other devices.
- Control Panels come in different
types and most have remote keypads so that the main alarm box can be
secured within a locked area leaving only a small keypad exposed.
- Signaling Devices are used to inform
a central station of the alarm state. Redcare, Redcare GSM, Digicom
and Dualcom are some of the different central station connections available.
- Central Control Stations can be
used to monitor and record where systems provide for Personal Attack,
Intruder and/or Fire Alarms. These systems can be integrated with other
systems such as CCTV, high temperature alarms for freezer centers, power
cuts at computer centres, lone worker protection, nurse call, etc.
