Lone Worker Safety systems are used where people may be in danger because they have to spend time on their own. The obvious examples are maintenance-engineering staff, security guards or night watchmen but this list is not exhaustive.

  • Radio Based transmissions can be used to alert others to the possibility that lone workers are in difficulties. Some devices are button operated but others can be configured to activate automatically for given situations such as where a person becomes horizontal or stops moving.
  • Dead Mans Handles require staff to be awake, alert and safe when on duty by doing some physical act at frequent intervals to prevent an automatic alarm or shut down situation.

Abbeyvale Systems shares concerns that lone workers are better protected. Our goal is always to work with others to reduce the assessed risks to those working alone or in remote locations. We are experienced in applications to improve the safety, security and communications for those lone workers.
