Paging is widely used in hospitals, nursing homes and factory sites where an easy and effective method of calling someone and promoting a response is required. The advantage of paging systems is that they are passive and do not have the same potential for electrical interference as do mobile and radio telephones. Also, pagers do not require hard wiring to receive messages and are therefore less disruptive to existing services.

Transmitter/s are positioned to cover the required area. Several paging methods can be used to send calls such as phoning the pager number, typing a message into a keyboard or automatic generation by plant alarm, etc.

  • Paging Receivers are carried by the nominated key personnel.
  • Alpha Text pagers allow text to be received by the pager.
  • Tone Pagers simply bleep the received.
  • Numeric Pagers only allow numbers to be displayed such as the telephone number of the caller.

Abbeyvale Systems works with customers to identify their requirements and to provide a paging system solution that will meet agreed specifications for the given environment and conditions.
